North Kingstown Varsity Football

The NKHS varsity Football is 9-0 on the season and 7-0 in league play. Last year they finished 5-2 good for a 5 way tie for first place

but didn’t make the playoffs because of a five-way tie breaker for 4 playoff spots. In 2012 they were 1-6. In 2009-2011 they were 0-24.

From parent (and fan) Patricia Poirier:

“This is a special bunch of boys and coaches who are really a family. They have a team dinner before every game home or away. The
coaches have stressed that each game is important. They need to take it one game at a time and that is what they have done.

Since RIIL started the Super Bowl format in 1972, NKHS has not had an undefeated season or won a Super Bowl.”
