Financial website WalletHub.com ranked 150 US cities and found that Providence is one of the worst cities to get married in, ranking 138th out of 150. WalletHub took into account 18 key indicators, ranging from average wedding cost to number of venues and event spaces per capita to availability of hotels.

Orlando, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Tampa, and Springfield, Missouri ranked as the top five cities to be married in, while Fontana, CA, Anchorage, Worcester, Newark, Yonkers, and Moreno Valley, CA ranked as the worst. Boston came in after Providence ranking at #141.

The most expensive cities to be married in are San Jose, Oakland, Oxnard, San Francisco, and Fremont, all in California, along with Honolulu. Providence also ranked 148 out of 150 for “worst weather.”
